What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focuses on analyzing the different aspects that can impact behavior and create positive behavior change.

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) tailors programming for the person in need. Through utilizing the principles of ABA, the analyst teaches them a set of skills to implement in their environment that will enrich their lives.

As data is continuously collected, the BCBA will make data-driven decisions in consultation with the family to lay the groundwork for the introduction and monitoring of the programs in place.

Our goal is to create opportunities to teach those we serve the principles of ABA so that they can prosper on their own.

What we offer

Direct 1:1 Sessions

Our behavior therapists work with your loved one(s) one-on-one to implement the plan that the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) creates.

Our commitment to the people we serve is to provide our clinical team with the highest level of dynamic training in the field of ABA. This ensures that they deliver ABA therapy with compassion, care, and understanding. Our team collects data on the performance of the programs that the BCBA creates; this data helps to determine the course of the therapy and what areas may need more focus, in order to assist individuals in meeting their goals.

Supervision

Supervision sessions consist of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBAs/ BCBA Eligible Supervisors) observing the behavior, intervention, reviewing the program, and creating new programs.

During supervision time, the Behavior Analyst will give the Interventionist constructive feedback on their clinical skills and implementation of the program. Caregivers are welcome to observe supervision time. For standards of supervision, please visit the BACB website.

Parent Training

The main goal of Caregiver Consultation is to provide caregivers with training in specialized ABA strategies that will increase the appropriate behavior and skill level of the ones they are caring for.

It is a time when caregivers have the opportunity to practice and gain mastery in ABA techniques that will enhance both the learner and the caregiver’s quality of life. Caregivers will specifically gain competence in the strategies that have been developed for the learner’s individualized behavior plan.

Residential/Day Program Consultation

This consultation is carried out by a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA), or Behavior Management Assistant (those who are in pursuit of BCBA certification and are enrolled in or have completed a Masters).

The consultation provides direct observation of the staff in a residential home/day program and accompanies the individual who resides there one-on-one in order to analyze and ameliorate the circumstances of their care.

Functional Behavior Assessment - Initial Assessment and Ongoing Progress

This type of assessment is conducted in order to determine why a specific behavior is occurring. Every behavior has its purpose.

The BCBA is in charge of defining the target behaviors, reviewing the records to determine history that may potentially impact behavior, creating a Behavior Intervention Plan “BIP” to mitigate behavioral occurrences, assisting to determine replacement behaviors and/or skills, and providing ongoing progress on the targets that have been decided on with the families we serve.

  • Telehealth

All of our services can be provided through telehealth communications.

Utilizing telehealth enables our clinicians to observe behaviors that might not be seen when in person. This tends to help with our initial assessment phase, and/or when needing to provide parent training on how to mitigate certain behaviors. Telehealth allows for the delivery of in-the-moment feedback to our clinical team and the families we serve.

  • Private Pay

For the convenience of those who do not wish to utilize their insurance, we do offer customized packages that are paid in advance by the client for all of our services.
